Business Description The University of Nicosia (UNIC) started in 1980 as Intercollege which still exists in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca in Cyprus. A very large part of Intercollege Nicosia became the University of Nicosia in 2007 after Cyprus enacted a pioneering legislation on private universities. Today, UNIC and Intercollege have over 5000 students with operations not only in Cyprus but also in Athens and Bucharest. The University has four academic schools - Business, Sciences and Engineering, Education and Humanities Social Sciences and Law. It also operates the only medical school in Cyprus together with St. George's Univesity of London (SGUL), attracting students from all over the world. The University offers degrees at all three levels - Bachelor, Master and Doctorate - and is a full member of the European Universities Association (EUA). The School of Business is the largest school with 1500 students enrolled in a variety of programmes having to do with accounting, management, marketing, finance, MIS, sports management, hospitality tourism and leisure management, oil & gas management and human resources management. In close cooperation with the Cyprus chapter of FIABCI, the University of Nicosia has developed: 1. A concentration in Real Estate Management in the undergraduate BBA in Business Administration programme. 2.
