Rebuild Green Hackathon 2026: registration open
Rebuild Green Hackathon 2026 is an international online hackathon that connects real recovery challenges from Ukrainian municipalities with professional expertise, green technologies, companies, universities and implementation-oriented project teams.
The Hackathon is part of Rebuild Green 2030 — a long-term programme supporting Ukraine’s green, resilient and sustainable recovery through bio-based materials, eco-technologies, circular construction, participatory territorial development and scalable implementation models.
From 3 to 24 October 2026, selected participants will work online with real municipal challenges submitted by Ukrainian communities. The programme invites architects, urban planners, engineers, designers, landscape architects, green construction experts, ConTech and PropTech solution providers, material producers, sustainability professionals, researchers, universities, NGOs, community representatives, project managers, grant and finance experts, companies, investors and implementation partners.
Participants may apply as individuals or as existing teams. During the Hackathon, interdisciplinary teams will develop practical, sustainable and feasible solutions that respond to local recovery needs and can be further developed after the Hackathon. The focus is not only on ideas, but on project concepts that have the potential to move toward pilot implementation, consortium-building, grant and donor applications, investment partnerships and future scaling.
The Hackathon process will include challenge briefings, online working sessions, team formation, mentoring, expert consultations and preparation of final project presentations. Finalist teams will present their solutions during Demo Day on 31 October 2026.
The three winning projects will be publicly announced on 12 November 2026 during Rebuild Ukraine 2026 in Warsaw and may continue into the Rebuild Green 2030 acceleration pathway.
The first-place team will receive an in-kind acceleration package with an estimated value of up to €50,000. This is not a cash prize. It is provided in the form of expert working hours to support the preparation of a strong grant or funding application. Selected winning projects may also receive access to additional in-kind support, including potential material contribution from programme partners, subject to the technical solution, project needs, partner agreement and future consortium arrangements.
Registration for participants is open until 21 September 2026.
Rebuild Green Hackathon 2026 is an opportunity for professionals, companies, academic institutions and organisations to contribute directly to Ukraine’s recovery — not only by proposing ideas, but by helping shape projects that can become fundable, implementable and scalable.

Bring your expertise. Build a team. Transform a real municipal challenge.
The Hackathon is not where the journey ends.
It is where implementation begins.
About Rebuild Green 2030
Rebuild Green 2030 is a long-term programme for Ukraine’s green, sustainable and resilient recovery, initiated by FIABCI-Ukraine and SYNCHRO SPACE in partnership with Modulina Straw Panels.

Its focus includes bio-based materials, circular construction, eco-technologies, energy efficiency, social inclusion, participatory planning and scalable recovery models.
The second cycle of Rebuild Green 2030 is developed in the logic of the Recovering the Future Framework, presented by the Habitat Professionals Forum, with an emphasis on transformative recovery, community participation, spatial planning, resilience, social justice and practical results for Ukrainian territories.
