The 75th FIABCI World Congress Convened in Nigeria with Strong Saudi Participation and Sponsorship by Eye of Riyadh
The 75th World Congress of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) commenced in Lagos, Nigeria, from June 9–14, 2025, under the theme “Global Real Estate Renaissance.” The event was held under the patronage of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and brought together delegations from more than 70 countries, including government representatives, real estate professionals, and leading international experts.
The congress, sponsored by Eye of Riyadh — an international FIABCI member — witnessed distinguished Saudi participation, alongside the Real Estate Federation Association (REFA), a principal member of FIABCI.
Mr. Abdullah Alharbi, CEO of Eye of Riyadh and President of FIABCI Saudi Arabia, stated that this participation reflects Saudi Arabia’s growing role in leading real estate transformation on both regional and global levels, while reaffirming FIABCI Saudi Arabia’s commitment to maintaining an active presence across international platforms.
In his remarks, Alharbi emphasized the importance of international knowledge exchange in strengthening strategic partnerships, enriching industry dialogue, and sharing expertise and best practices through global forums. He noted that FIABCI Saudi Arabia’s participation in this global event aligns directly with these objectives.
The sessions also featured a notable contribution from Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Sulaiman, CEO of the Saudi Real Estate Registry, who stated:
“The Real Estate Registry serves as a unified platform for all property data and information across the Kingdom, with precise details covering location, area, and dimensions. Through this initiative, we are building an integrated digital database that combines property information with highly accurate geospatial data exceeding 19 petabytes, while implementing the largest geographic survey project covering 100,000 km² of urban areas and 2 million km² of non-urban regions.”
Dr. Al-Sulaiman further explained that 94% of operations are now automated using intelligent robotics, reducing data processing times from 9 minutes to just 25 seconds.
Meanwhile, Ms. Reem Alharbi, Vice Chairwoman of the Real Estate Federation Association (REFA), participated in a dedicated session titled “Cross-Border Perspectives in PropTech.” In her remarks, she highlighted Saudi Arabia’s pioneering experience in integrating technology within the real estate sector, emphasizing improvements in efficiency, regulatory accuracy, optimized resource utilization, and significant time and effort savings. She noted that PropTech aims to leverage advanced technologies to modernize the real estate sector, keep pace with global developments, and enhance competitiveness.
She also highlighted that FIABCI Saudi Arabia enables industry professionals to join a global network of real estate experts through its membership platform, providing direct access to international expertise and participation opportunities in both local and international events.
Reem Alharbi additionally shed light on the international training program “Future of Real Estate – University of Oxford,” organized by the University of Oxford in collaboration with Eye of Riyadh and FIABCI, taking place remotely from October 7 to November 18, 2025. The program offers a global educational experience for professionals interested in real estate investment, urban development, artificial intelligence in cities, and real estate capital markets.
Eye of Riyadh is also preparing to organize a major global event titled “The Global PropTech Summit,” scheduled to take place in Riyadh from October 26–27, 2025, with participation from leading global real estate and technology companies.
Founded in Paris in 1951, the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) is considered the world’s largest professional real estate network, comprising more than 1.5 million members across 70 countries. FIABCI membership serves as a vital gateway connecting real estate markets and professionals worldwide.
