FIABCI-Taiwan Q2 English Breakfast Meeting: “The Invisible Variable: How Design, Engineering, and Finance Finally Speak the Same Language”

On April 15, the association hosted its second FIABCI-Taiwan English Breakfast Meeting of the year at the banquet hall of Park Gendii, a premium residential project by Treasure Dragon Corp. in Taichung. Over 40 distinguished guests gathered to enjoy a refined, healthy breakfast amidst brilliant sunshine and serene garden views. The event featured Lebella Ho, Executive Director of La Dolce Vita Interior Design, who shared her insights on integrated design thinking and management concepts.

In the global economic volatility and the dual challenges of industrial digital transformation, the traditional experience-driven model of the interior design industry is undergoing a structural reorganization. Invited by FIABCI-Taiwan, Lebella Ho delivered a keynote speech titled: "From Fields to Cloud: Harnessing Saas and AI for Risk-Resilient Growth." She provided an in-depth analysis of how interior design can leverage technology as a mediator to transition from subjective aesthetics to rational management, constructing a highly resilient integrated design framework.

Digital Twins: Vertical Integration from Fields to Cloud Data

Ho proposed that the complexity of architecture and spatial design lies in the disconnect between the "site" and "management." She advocates for the implementation of SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms to digitize traditionally fragmented workflows, ensuring information symmetry between designers, contractors, and owners within a unified digital interface.

Scientific Decision-Making: Risk Mitigation and Growth Strategies Empowered by AI

Addressing the impacts of inflation and drastic fluctuations in the building materials market, Ho emphasized the central role of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in precise decision-making. She noted that AI applications should extend beyond simple rendering generation to encompass predictive analysis.

The Transformation of Design Thinking: An Integrated Paradigm of Aesthetics and Governance

As a practitioner deeply rooted in high-end residential and commercial spaces, Ho focuses not only on the situational aesthetics of space but also advocates for "Integrative Thinking" among designers. She believes that contemporary high-quality design must be built on a foundation of sound governance. Only through cloud-based management and precise construction can "design intent" be preserved without being compromised by variables on the job site.

A New Opportunity to Reshape the Industry Ecosystem

The keynote sparked extensive discussion within the architectural community regarding "technological aesthetics" and "precision operations." Director Jia-Min Ho’s insights offer a practical and forward-looking transformation guide for an interior design industry currently navigating the growing pains of digital evolution.
