FIABCI and NAR sign Memorandum of Understanding
FIABCI was recently in San Francisco to attend the 2019 REALTORS® Conference & Expo, NAR’s largest annual event for real estate professionals with a total attendance of 20,000 REALTORS® and guests, featuring 100+ education sessions and 400 exhibitors across four days every November.
On November 8th, the delegation took part in the governance meetings - in particular the Global Business & Alliances Committee -, whose aim is to hear reports and updates to help globally-minded agents conduct business successfully and ethically, in the United States and all over the world.
World President Walid Moussa addressed the audience to speak about the strategic priorities of FIABCI. Main topics ranged from the organization’s activities on urban sustainability and affordable and workforce housing to the importance of collaborative alliances: “FIABCI’s collaboration with NAR is also very important to us. Our alliance goes back many years and has evolved over time. We share many mutual goals but bring different value propositions to the table. There’s no doubt in my mind, however, that both our organizations prioritize serving our members to succeed on a national, regional and international level.” World President Walid Moussa said.
“With this common goal, FIABCI and NAR have been working over the last years to extend our partnership on several domains. FIABCI welcomes a stronger U.S. presence including NAR delegation at our global events. At the same time, we ensure to keep promoting NAR events.”, he added.
FIABCI World President Walid Moussa and NAR 2020 President Vince Malta later signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to create more business opportunities, share best practices worldwide, and strengthen the organizations’ long-term cooperation.
