A closer look at the different FIABCI Chapters
Every Tuesday, FIABCI-Brasil publishes a column in the local newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo. Recently, the Chapter dedicated one of its publications to our Federation and its Chapters established worldwide.
FIABCI International currently has 47 Chapters distributed around the world, thus assuring the Federation's representation on each of the five continents. These essentially very different real estate markets benefit from the interconnections promoted by a global institution, in particular from its diverse presence.
Through its activities, each FIABCI Chapter aims to promote the professional and personal development of members of the real estate sector. In this sense, the exchange of information and technology is essential to further advance the work developed in their countries.
Each real estate sector has its own particularities. And such characteristics are not fixed. The dynamics of the market ensures that, at a certain moment, luxury properties register greater demand, while in another country, the purchase and sale of affordable housing receives more prominence.
As such, it is crucial that the exchange of information between the Chapters takes place in the events promoted by FIABCI International more effectively. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, it is through online forums and panel discussions organized with industry leaders and experts from different real estate markets that this information is disseminated in a qualified, effective and organized manner.
In Brazil, the FIABCI National Chapter was created in 1975, with the goal of connecting professionals in the sector and providing services to their members. With its headquarters in São Paulo, FIABCI-Brasil seeks to update its members with the current and most innovative trends in the international real estate market.
In addition, the Brazilian arm of the Federation is responsible for showcasing in the best possible way the main local players in the platforms provided by FIABCI across the globe. It is also worth mentioning the various publications promoted by FIABCI International to bring together the most important topics under discussion.
Another proof that FIABCI's activities worldwide inspire solutions adapted to the regionalities of its Chapters is the accomplishment of national editions of what is known as the «Oscar of Real Estate»: the Prix d'Excellence Awards.
In Brazil, the Prix d'Excellence was an inspiration for the creation of the Prêmio Master Imobiliário, responsible for recognizing the most important real estate projects in different categories. Currently in its 26th edition, the Master is organized in partnership with Secovi-SP and fulfills, simultaneously, different goals of FIABCI-Brasil, such as promoting the contact between the different professionals linked to the sector, as well as encouraging exchanges on professional, cultural, marketing, and legal levels.
Consequently, and looking to the positive examples of Chapters throughout the world, in 2021, FIABCI-Brasil maintains the search for the so sought after fiscal, tax, administrative, and other reforms that significantly impact the national sector.
