Mobility Monitor: Building more resilient, sustainable communities

Mobility is not just about people’s movement. It is also a moving demand for infrastructure, services, housing, and employment. Monitoring changes in mobility is an important tool to inform business and local economic development decision-making and empower them to build more resilient, sustainable communities. By attracting people to spend more time and money locally governments provide them with more resilience to economic shocks.
Habidatum, together with StateBook, launched www.mobilitymonitor.us, a service designed to provide data on mobility changes across the USA, including those resulting from measures to counter the COVID-19 pandemic. Real-time changes in local population concentration are structured according to the length of time people spend in a given location (dwell time).
