Esteemed FIABCI members:

As I enter my tenure as the FIABCI World President, I find myself reflecting on our Federation and its relevance today among real estate practitioners around the world. I have come to think of our network as a large, multi-national community that provides abundant opportunities to learn and share best practices, work with other international organizations and enables us to brainstorm and give back to society. We empower our members to share ideas and advocate for their causes and their businesses during our many networking activities such as the World Congress or Global Business Summit. Our FIABCI community of professionals with its breadth of experience is a network which has become increasingly beneficial in facing new challenges and opportunities.

The changes happening around us whether social, political, technological, scientific, environmental, or economic require us to help our clients navigate through new and increasingly complex business ecosystems, which profoundly impact the companies and the communities we are involved in, and our profession at large. I am extremely proud of FIABCI’s successes over the past years and the many innovative solutions and collaborations that have come about for a better and more sustainable future.

Digital transformation is the future of real estate, and companies that want to stay ahead of the curve must adopt these digital trends early. Digital transformation has created significant impacts on how real estate products are designed, built, and marketed. Digital tools such as anticipatory design, computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modelling (BIM) help create more detailed and accurate models of projects and identify potential issues before construction begins. Technologies such as drones, 3D printing, and augmented reality improve construction efficiency and quality. Project management software streamlines the construction process and keeps all stakeholders up to date on project progress.

In sales and marketing, digital transformation has led to the rise of online real estate marketplaces, which are now one of the primary ways that property developers advertise and sell their properties. Social media and digital advertising are also being used to target potential buyers more effectively. Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics, virtual tours, automation, intelligent chatbot, and payment gateways all help create personalized customer experiences and digital journeys. Overall, digital transformation is helping property developers become more efficient, effective, and customer-focused.

About Budiarsa Sastrawinata

Budiarsa Sastrawinata serves as the Managing Director of CIPUTRA Group and the President Director of PT CIPUTRA Residence, the company behind numerous leading new town developments in Indonesia.
He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CIPUTRA Group's latest international new town developments; CIPUTRA Hanoi International City in Vietnam and Grand Shenyang International City in China.

He is also the President and Director of PT Damai Indah Golf, a company that owns and operates two prestigious golf courses: the Jack Nicklaus Signature course and the Robert Trent Jones II designed course.
He is a Member of Honorary Council of the Indonesian Real Estate Association (REI). He was one of the Founding Members of the Indonesian Broker Association (AREBI) where he is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He has served as President of the International Urban Development Association (INTA) from 2007 to 2013.

He is the Chairman of the Indonesia-Vietnam Friendship Association (IVFA) since 2015, a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Tarumanagara Foundation (Universitas Tarumanagara) since 2019, Advisory Board of the Employers' Association of Indonesia (APINDO) 2018-2023, Chairman of the Indonesian Public Listed Companies Association (AEI) 2021-2023, Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Golf Course Owners Association (APLGI) 2018-2022 and 2022 - 2026, Head of Integrated Property Development Council of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) 2021-2026. Head of the Working Group on Indonesia New Capital City - IKN (KADIN) 2022-2026

He was a Member of Parliament and the House of the Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia from 2004 to 2009.

He is now the sitting President of FIABCI-Indonesia and FIABCI World President 2023–2024.
