Highlights from the 2025 Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner
The 2025 FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards Ceremony, celebrating its 20th anniversary, marked a pivotal moment for Taiwan's architectural and urban development. The event brought together prominent figures from government, industry, and academia. This year’s event was witnessed again by representatives from fellow FIABCI chapters, including FIABCI-Indonesia, FIABCI-Korea, FIABCI-Malaysia, FIABCI-Philippines, FIABCI-Singapore and FIABCI-Thai, as well as our new FIABCI World President, Antonio Campagnoli.
FIABCI-Taiwan President Lily Chang emphasized the Taiwanese architectural industry's proactive embrace of AI integration and sustainability. This year's award-winning projects showcase cutting-edge capabilities in intelligent design, smart building management, environmental resilience, carbon footprint reduction, and community integration. These achievements represent significant strides in smart buildings, net-zero carbon emissions, and the adoption of ESG values, demonstrating Taiwan's alignment with international trends and its progress towards developing livable, sustainable, and smart cities.
FIABCI World President Antonio Campagnoli lauded Taiwan's architectural achievements, recognizing its consistent excellence in innovative design, engineering quality, and sustainable development. He particularly commended Taiwan's initiatives in smart buildings and net-zero carbon emissions as a global and UN-supported paradigm, expressing keen interest in continued collaboration to advance sustainable architecture worldwide.
His Excellency Mark Chih-Wei Ho, Deputy Secretary-General to the President, emphasized architecture's pivotal role in fulfilling societal aspirations and enhancing quality of life. He highlighted Taiwan's strategic shift towards integrated sustainable and smart design in response to climate change and pressing urban challenges. Furthermore, he called for increasing architect engagement in green innovation and social responsibility to foster universal well-being and environmental harmony.
President Lily Chang concluded by emphasizing that the FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards symbolize a two-decade journey of ideals and dedication to fostering quality living. She urged the continuous adoption of ESG principles, net-zero emissions, and AI in future Taiwanese architecture and public works, aiming to create a safer, more beautiful, and sustainable environment for generations to come.
Prior to the award ceremony and gala dinner, FIABCI delegates were also invited to visit one of Taipei’s prominent project, Pujen Land Development’s Vision Uptown, and enjoyed the world-famous Xiaolongbao from Taiwan’s Michelin-starred restaurant Din Tai Fung. On the following day prior to their departure, they also take part in FIABCI-Taiwan’s morning talk, with speakers talking about our experience during the late World Congress in Lagos as well as the latest development and business opportunities of Nusantara, the new capital city of Indonesia.
The chapter is especially grateful to World President Antonio Campagnoli for his short yet meaningful overnight visit to Taiwan. During the morning talk event, the World President took the opportunity to elaborate on the importance of the FIABCI network and provided key updates on the upcoming FIABCI trade mission to Rome. World President Campagnoli concluded the day by extending his invitation to the young professionals and encouraged them to take part in the trade mission.
