FIABCI-Taiwan Leaders met with Vice President Bi-khim Hsiao of Taiwan
FIABCI-Taiwan President Lily Chang led the chapter’s board members to meet with Taiwan Vice President Ms. Bi-khim Hsiao on July 2nd, 2024. During the meeting, President Lily articulated FIABCI’s missions, core values and key projects to the Vice President, and how the Taiwanese chapter has been an integral part to the international FIABCI community.
Vice President Hsiao expressed her gratitude to the Taiwan Chapter for its efforts and achievements in improving the construction and development industry, as well as the overall quality of living in Taiwan. FIABCI-Taiwan’s role in bridging the local real estate industry and international counterparts was also highly praised and recognized.
During the meeting, Standing Director Kuo-Lung Liu put forward policy suggestions regarding ongoing social housing projects, as well as global labor shortage and its effect on the construction industry. Director Henry Tsai proposed amendments to the country’s labor policies for the construction industry, further market liberalization towards building materials, and suggestions on overall urban regeneration in metropolitan areas.
The meeting with the Vice President with many fruitful discussions, and the chapter leaders also officially invited the Vice President to attend the annual FIACI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards Ceremony on July 23rd, 2024.
