Call for Applications for the FIABCI Scholarship Foundation

Since 1997 the FIABCI Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $100,000 in grants to students from more than twenty different countries who show interest in international real estate. Scholarships grants are available to students from Academic Member Universities who demonstrate academic achievement, international goals – particularly the vision to help meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals – and need financial support. Grants are awarded twice each year in March and September.

Another outstanding international real estate student has been awarded a grant to continue graduate work at New York University by the FIABCI Scholarship Foundation. For over twenty-five years, the Foundation has supported the next generation of cross border real estate professionals who have shown academic achievement, have clear international goals, financial need and a history of community involvement.

Evangelos Poimenidis from Athens, Greece is pursuing a Master’s in Real Estate Development after having completed an Integrated Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He is interested in sustainable development projects as a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Schack Institute of Real Estate Student Organization. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and upon graduation is interested in reshaping policies and helping to provide financing for projects that remake our urban environment to one that is more sustainable through socially responsible Real Estate Investment Trusts.

The Foundation’s Board of Trustees representing each FIABCI Region review applications and determine award recipients. Grants are awarded twice each year with application deadlines 30 March and 30 September. Qualified applications with interest in supporting sustainable development should apply online at: https://forms.gle/m7vRUkjM945Tb2jj8

Trustees are also charged with raising funds to support future grants and encourage property professionals interested in supporting our future leaders to make online donations at www.eventbrite.com/e/fiabci-scholarship-foundation-donation-tickets-252582650507

The FIABCI Scholarship Foundation is funded by members of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation. FIABCI is a business network of real estate professionals worldwide providing access and opportunity for real estate professionals interested in gaining knowledge, sharing information and conducting international business.
