Appreciation Ceremony and Luncheon hosted for Malaysian Winners of the World Prix d'Excellence Awards 2025

The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) Malaysia hosted a special ceremony and luncheon on Thursday, 17 July 2025, to honour Malaysian property developers who brought pride to the nation where their projects winning at the prestigious FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2025, held recently on Thursday, 12 June 2025 in Lagos, Federal Republic of Nigeria in conjunction with the 75 FIABCI World Real Estate Congress.

Held at Dewan Kristal, KPKT, and hosted by the Honourable Minister of Housing and Local Government, YB Nga Kor Ming, the Appreciation Ceremony and Luncheon celebrated nine Malaysian development projects that stood out on the global stage for their excellence in architecture, innovation, sustainability, community impact, and effective financial and marketing strategies. Minister Nga highlighted that these accolades are not just a win for the developers, but also a recognition of the nation’s collective efforts to raise the standard and image of the Malaysian property industry. “This is a testament to the ability of Malaysian developers to deliver quality and sustainable housing that stands on par with international benchmarks,” said the Minister.

Since 2014, Malaysia has garnered 35 gold awards through 21 different developers, and this year’s achievement elevated the nation’s reputation for high-quality and sustainable real estate development.

In addition to celebrating past success, YB Nga also took the opportunity to announce that Malaysia will host the ASEAN Real Estate Conference (AREC) 2025 from 23 to 26 July at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The conference is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors and generate an estimated RM2 billion in property-related transactions.

Closing his address, the minister expressed hope that this recognition would inspire more developers to push the boundaries of excellence, and reaffirmed KPKT’s commitment to fostering public-private collaboration under the 4P principle: People–Public–Private Partnership.

Dr. Yu Kee Su, President of FIABCI-Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Jennifer Low, Deputy President of FIABCI-Malaysia, Ms. Siti Norfitriwati, Office Manager of FIABCI-Malaysia Secretariat, Ms. Najwa Ibrahim, Senior Event Executive of FIABCI-Malaysia Secretariat, and Ms. Michelle Ng from Prix Secretariat attended the event.

The event concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony to the winners, a group photo session, and a networking luncheon.
