FIABCI and CILA Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Foster Collaboration and Promote Sustainable Real Estate Development in Latin America
FIABCI, The International Real Estate Federation, and Confederación Inmobiliaria Latinoamericana (CILA) have formalized a new partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and promote sustainable real estate practices across Latin America. The agreement, signed on September 10, 2024, signals a commitment from both organizations to collaborate on projects aimed at enhancing industry standards, sharing knowledge, and advancing sustainable urban development.
Key Areas of Collaboration
The partnership between FIABCI and CILA will focus on:
- Mutual Event Support: FIABCI and CILA will promote each other’s events regionally and internationally, working together on communication, speaker identification, and member engagement for events such as FIABCI’s World Real Estate Congress, Global Leadership Summit, and CILA’s regional conferences.
- Educational Programs: Both organizations will seek to enhance educational offerings, with FIABCI sharing its Global Real Estate Professional Designation and other professional development initiatives, while CILA will provide access to its knowledge network to support FIABCI programs in Latin America.
- Sustainable Development Initiatives: The MoU prioritizes sustainable urban development, with FIABCI and CILA committed to advancing practices that align with the SDGs and fostering a greener real estate industry in Latin America.

This three-year, renewable agreement allows for ongoing cooperation on mutually beneficial projects, with opportunities for further formalized agreements as the relationship deepens.
