FIABCI-Hungary Hosts Global Leaders for 2024 International Trade Mission and Board Meeting in Budapest

FIABCI-Hungary successfully hosted the 2024 FIABCI International Trade Mission and Board Meeting, an annual event that focuses on exploring real estate developments in the host country and fostering connections with local professionals. The Hungarian chapter crafted the program with this objective in mind. More than 30 professionals from Asia, Africa, and the Americas came to Budapest to learn about remarkable real estate developments through a series of presentations and site visits.

The presentations were opened by Ramón Riera Torroba, FIABCI World President, followed by Regő Lánszki, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Construction and Transport, who presented the trends in Hungarian real estate development and recent regulatory changes. Roberto Brambilla, a senior expert from FIABCI's strategic partner Harley & Dikkinson, also gave a presentation on his company's activities, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and sharing how they have been driving green property redevelopment and urban regeneration for over two decades.

The real estate developments were introduced in three sections:

  1. Office Building Developments
The selected projects featured unique and innovative solutions.
    • The new headquarters of Bánáti & Hartvig Architects was presented by architects Ágnes Székely and Bodó Bánáti.

    • Waterfront City was presented by Gábor Kutasi, Development Director of Biggeorge Property.
    • Duna Terasz was presented by László Gönczi, Technical Director of the Duna Terasz Group.
    • Metrodom River was presented by Gábor Kiss, Managing Director of Metrodom Építő Kft.

  3. Urban Development Projects
Urban development is a crucial area of focus, with coordinated projects enhancing public spaces and infrastructure through cohesive planning and regulations.
    • The Liget Project was presented by Attila Sághi, Deputy CEO of Városliget Zrt.
    • Gábor Radványi, Chief Architect of Futureal Group, presented the Corvin Promenade.
    • Éva Stefanich and Levente Lázár from the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (IASK) presented the Kőszeg Kraft project.

In the evening, Treasure Dragon Corp., presided by Lily Chang, hosted an executive gathering for those who wished to continue the discussions sparked during the forum.

Trade Mission participants had the opportunity to visit many of the developments discussed, including City Park, Corvin Promenade, Duna Terasz, Graphisoft Park, Waterfront City, Metrodom River, and the MOL Campus. Tibor Nagygyörgy, owner of Biggeorge Group, hosted an additional event at the Emerald Hotel café, where he presented the history and achievements of Biggeorge Holding, followed by informal discussions.

The busy program also included a visit to Tihany and Balatonfüred, concluding with a farewell dinner at the Gerbeaud Atrium. Participants praised the high-quality presentations, insightful site visits, and the overall smooth organization of the event.
