FIABCI Scholarship Foundation Announces Grants for Spring 2024

The FIABCI Scholarship Foundation continues to support the next generation of global real estate professionals who have shown academic achievement, support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, show financial need and a history of community involvement. The Trustees met during the 74th FIABCI World Real Estate Congress in Singapore to confirm grant recipients for the spring term and welcome new Trustees.

Five outstanding young professionals were awarded grants to complete their degrees:

Ming Hong Choi from Singapore is pursuing a Masters Degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. His future goal is to catalyze sustainable, equitable, resilient, and vibrant built environments and to become a global leader in shaping the future of cities.

Jesumiseun Gbotosho from Nigeria is pursuing a Masters from Harvard and is dedicated to helping the 1.6 billion people worldwide who lack adequate housing. She has a fervent passion for pursuing a career in international real estate with a focus on addressing homelessness and slum proliferation.

Mitchell Lazerus from the US is fluent in Mandarin, English and German and plans to contribute to the industry as a thought leader in international real estate upon completion of his degree at Harvard.

Miguel Perez is completing dual degrees in Law and Real Estate at the University of Miami so he can navigate intricate regulatory environments, identify promising ventures, and promote sustainable development through political advocacy and community engagement.

• Ilias Toum-Benchekroun of Morocco plans to return to Casablanca upon graduation from the University of Miami and develop vibrant, sustainable communities that positively impact people's lives in a complicated and sometimes confrontational environment.

Grants are awarded twice each year with application deadlines March 30 and September 30 and are available to students enrolled in FIABCI Academic Member Universities, FIABCI Members and their children in all Regions. A Board of Trustees of FIABCI members from all Regions reviews the applications and determines award recipients.

The FIABCI Scholarship Foundation is funded by members of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation. For more information, please visit www.fiabcischolar.org.
