Coronavirus: Updates on FIABCI Global Events and General Secretariat
FIABCI, The International Real Estate Federation has been monitoring closely the development of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak through the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as national and public health authorities.
As the pandemic accelerates, FIABCI is increasingly committed to address this health crisis responsibly so as to protect its members and team. Therefore, we have enlisted below a few points for our community’s consideration.
Global Events
Fully aware that the COVID-19 pandemic poses great challenges to the organization’s regular activities, FIABCI is monitoring the situation daily and evaluating the development of this exceptional health crisis at the regional, national and international levels. In parallel, we are working closely with the organizers of both MIPIM Cannes (Global Partner Reed MIDEM) as well as FIABCI World Real Estate Congress (Host Chapter FIABCI-Philippines). We will provide regular updates regarding these global events via email, the events’ sections of our website and social media networks.
Additionally, a Crisis Evaluation Unit has been created, consisting of past presidents of the Conferences Committee to further analyse the current situation on a regular basis and provide insightful information to elaborate risk mitigation plans.
General Secretariat
In regards to the working process of the General Secretariat, taking into consideration the instructions and recommendations announced by the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, we decided to carry on our mission exclusively through remote work and video conferencing technologies. This safety measure is effective starting from Monday, March 16 to April 3, 2020, until further notice. Please note that we will have limited access to our data.
Last but not least, check our website and social media channels regularly for updates on the above matters. FIABCI appreciates your cooperation and understanding.
