FIABCI Scholarship Foundation Announces Grants for Fall 2024
The FIABCI Scholarship Foundation continues to support the next generation of global real estate professionals who have shown academic achievement, support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, show financial need and a history of community involvement. The Trustees are pleased to confirm grant recipients for the fall term.
Three outstanding young professionals were awarded grants to complete their degrees:
- Tal Richtman from Israel is pursuing a Master in Real Estate at Harvard and plans to focus on investments in developing countries, particularly in the Middle East and Latin America. He understands that real estate intersects with economic development, environmental sustainability, and conflict resolution and is committed to transforming communities in the most divided regions in the world.
- Suleman Gajere is also pursuing a Master in Real Estate at Harvard. As a licensed architect, he believes there is a way to increase density in urban centers around the world, build environmentally responsibly, create desirable workforce housing and support commercial real estate, all while mitigating the prospects of the continuing displacement that is currently the norm.
- Giaffon Lam from Peru is undertaking a Master of Real Estate Development and Urbanism at the University of Miami and has passion for creating inclusive, sustainable urban environments that not only address housing shortages but also provide economic opportunities for local populations. He is proficient in Spanish, French, Mandarin and English and has the ability to navigate international markets and communicate effectively across different cultural contexts.
Grants are awarded twice each year with application deadlines March 30 and September 30 and are available to students enrolled in FIABCI Academic Member Universities, FIABCI Members and their children in all Regions. A Board of Trustees of FIABCI members from all Regions reviews the applications and determines award recipients.
The FIABCI Scholarship Foundation is funded by members of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation. FIABCI is a business network of real estate professionals worldwide providing access and opportunity for real estate professionals interested in gaining knowledge, sharing information and conducting international business. www.fiabcischolar.org.
