FIABCI Scholarship Foundation Announces Grants and Fundraising Goal
Meeting during FIABCI’s 72nd FIABCI World Real Estate Congress in Paris, the FIABCI Scholarship Foundation Trustees reviewed grant applications and planned for a new fundraising drive. For over twenty-five years, the Foundation has supported the next generation of cross border real estate professionals who have shown academic achievement, support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, show financial need and a history of community involvement.
The spring round of recipients include Sharon Zeng who is pursuing a degree in Architecture from Feng Chia University in Taiwan. She understands that real estate must focus on sustainability, affordability, and technological innovation. She plans postgraduate studies in Europe where the technology is more mature and she can gain a skill set to bring back to Southeast Asia.
Duc Khuong Phan will begin a degree in Civil Construction and Real Estate Management at Riga Technical University this fall to support investment funds that could invest in real estate in Vietnam to create jobs and develop infrastructure systems to help turn Vietnam from a needy country into a developed nation.
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees representing each FIABCI Region review applications and determine award recipients. Trustees are also charged with raising funds and agreed to launch a $50,000 campaign to expand the number and amount of future grants and assure the Foundation’s future.
