FIABCI Transition Ceremony 2021

Every year the Transition Ceremony marks the end of a term and the beginning of a new one. Traditionally held at the end of the FIABCI World Real Estate Congress, the ceremony took place this year in a virtual format during the FIABCI Real Estate Days on June 3.

As it is customary, the Federation’s official ceremony started with the Presidential Report delivered by World-President 2020-2021 Florentino Dulalia, who highlighted all the accomplishments made during his term and updated the Members on important topics.

In his closing remarks, Florentino Dulalia said: “Though disheartened, I cannot help but still be positive and be hopeful. Through this pandemic, I believe our Federation learned to be proactive, became more resilient and stronger and ready to take on similar challenges in the future. We stood together, we learned, we endured. I am looking forward to the years ahead with confidence.”

The report was then followed by the Medal of Honor moment, awarded by the outgoing president in recognition of the Members who have given longstanding and exemplary service to FIABCI.

Jordi Ribó’s was afterward installed as World President 2021-2022, taking the Oath of Office and wearing for the first time the Presidential Medal. He then shared with the audience his vision for his term during the Installation Speech.

Other significant highlights of the Transition Ceremony included the Past President Medal moment, which was presented to the Immediate Past President and, to close the ceremony, the announcement and acknowledgment of the new Board of Directors, as well as Councils and Committees.
