[Webinar Summary] COVID-19: What lies ahead for the Real Estate Industry?

What are the potential implications for the global real estate industry in the short and long-term? How will these implications affect each sector individually? Could this lead to a modernization of real estate?
These were a few of the several questions raised during the first in a series of webinars organized by FIABCI International on the real estate industry amid the coronavirus outbreak on April 2. The guest speakers that took part in this live panel discussion - Lika Kardava, Silvia Elias, Ismail Gbenga, David Tang, Konstantinos Kopanitsanos and Antonio Campagnoli - came from different backgrounds as well as different regions of the world in order to provide interesting and diverse insights within the real estate industry.
In addition to this, there was a total of 23 countries represented in the audience, from Mexico to Australia, South Africa to Russia.
Students from the Real Estate and Sustainable Development Chair at ESSEC Business School - a FIABCI-France Academic Member - attended the webinar and provided a summary that can be read here. The report also includes answers from some of our guest speakers regarding some questions that, due to time constraints, couldn't be answered during the session.
