FIABCI signs MoU for the creation of FIABCI-Saudi Arabia

From 23 to 25 January, on the occasion of the 2nd edition of the Real Estate Future Forum, a FIABCI Delegation travelled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Several international delegates were present, including Abdel Nasser Taha, Africa & Near East Committee President, Antonio Campagnoli, Professional Division President, Dr Mahmoud AlBurai, International Organisations Committee President, Fahmi Chaabane, Board of Directors Member, Farook Mahmood, World President 2017-2018, and Narek Arakelyan, Secretary-General.

We express our gratitude to HE Eng Abdullah Albudair, Vice Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, for his kind invitation and support, as well as to the CEO of the Real Estate Future Forum, Mr Abdullah AlHarbi, for his warm hospitality. We highly appreciate all the tremendous efforts undertaken in organising this international forum and the interest demonstrated to initiate a national chapter of FIABCI in Saudi Arabia.

The Real Estate Future Forum was a great occasion to discover Vision 2030 under the leadership of HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, learn about the missions and KPIs of the respective Ministries, heads of authorities and governors, and meet real estate professionals from Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region (UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, among others).

The FIABCI Delegation was impressed by the tangible results of substantial social and urban initiatives put forward over the last few years, including the clarity and transparency of Vision 2030, the launching of mega urban development projects, the creation of new business opportunities and the remarkable transformation of the society in Saudi Arabia.

On the occasion of this visit, FIABCI signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the creation of FIABCI-Saudi Arabia.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, we reiterate how important this region is for the International Real Estate Federation. The creation of a strong FIABCI-Saudi Arabia is a priority for the organisation, and we hope to announce it during our General Assembly at the 73rd FIABCI World Real Estate Congress, happening from 6 to 9 June 2023 in Miami.
