FIABCI has signed a Global Partnership Agreement with the International Institute of Mediators (Singapore) (iiM in short) to build a pool of mediators who can provide mediation services to FIABCI members and others who require to resolve their commercial disputes. iiM will provide a 5-Day mediation training for FIABCI members to enable them to serve on the International Panel of Mediators

Brief Outline of Course Programme
• Introduction to Mediation
• Mediation Concepts, Principles and Process
• Mediation Techniques, Skills and Styles
• Cultural Influences and Awareness
• Simulation and Role Plays
• Case studies and Analyses

Objectives of Workshop
Participants will acquire skills in dealing with conflicts in different contexts. The purpose is to equip them with skillsets that they can use to analyse and resolve such conflicts. They will have the opportunity to experience how to handle such conflicts in role plays and simulations.

Learning Outcome
This course hopes to produce a peaceful and harmonious environment where organisations and the business community are able to use the acquired mediation skills to resolve problems that occur in their respective environment. They will be able to recognise the impact of cultural influences in cross-border disputes.

Who should attend
Anyone who wishes to learn more about the skills and techniques that can be used to help them resolve conflicts with their colleagues, business partners or organisations.
They include professionals who represent their clients in the resolution of commercial and international disputes.

Trainers
The faculty comprises distinguished trainers from both the practice and academia with
many years of experience in handling various types of disputes.

Fee:
Euro 2,000 per participant (FIABCI members)
Euro 2,500 per participant (non-FIABCI members)
The fees received from the first 10 participants will be donated to FIABCI.
