Every year, FIABCI takes part in MIPIM Cannes, and 2024 was no exception.

But before the premier global real estate market event began on March 12 in Cannes, FIABCI hosted its traditional Gala Dinner at the majestic Majestic Hotel the evening before. This exclusive event, held in collaboration with Gala Dinner Partners Ciputra Group, Treasure Dragon Corporation, and COFECI-CRECI, set the stage for four days of innovation, collaboration, and networking opportunities. Budiarsa Sastrawinata, Managing Director of Ciputra Group, Lily Chang, President of Treasure Dragon Corporation, and João Teodoro da Silva, President of COFECI-CRECI, represented this year's distinguished partners at the soirèe.

The evening featured insightful speeches from Mathieu Regnault, MIPIM Marketing Director, Budiarsa Sastrawinata, FIABCI World President, and Michal Mlynar, UN Assistant Secretary-General and Acting Executive Director of UN-Habitat.

Rafat Chabaane, President of the FIABCI World Council of PropTech, hosted the "PropTech & Friends" table, welcoming special guests from the PropTech field.

Delegations from across the globe, including Saudi Arabia, France, Belgium, USA, Germany, Italy, and Ireland, among others, added to the international flavor of the Gala Dinner, fostering a diverse and enriching atmosphere.

The MIPIM pre-event was a blend of glitz, glamour, delectable cuisine, and live music, providing an ideal platform for professionals to forge connections, expand networks, and anticipate the dynamic days ahead at the Palais des Festivals.

As part of its engagement at MIPIM and professional conference program, FIABCI presented a range of sessions and activities, supported by this year's exhibition partners: Harley&Dikkinson (Platinum Partner), Ciputra Group (Premium Partner), Treasure Dragon Corporation (Networking Cocktail Partner), Foxworth Realty (Advertising Partner), and ERA Taiwan (Advertising Partner).

Focusing on the theme "Unleashing the Potential of Urban Growth", our sessions provided a platform for productive discussions and strategic partnerships:

"The Green and Social Path", sponsored by Harley&Dikkinson, explored the topic of sustainability and shed light on Harley&Dikkinson's role as a public trust advisor;
"Cities of the Future: Exclusive or Inclusive?", organized by UN-Habitat in partnership with FIABCI, ARCADIS, RICS, Sweco, and Arup, focused on how the real estate housing crisis can trigger urban innovation and new avenues for more inclusive cities through the creation of new towns and technology-driven, on-demand housing models;
"Nusantara, The New Green and Sustainable Capital City of Indonesia", hosted by the Ciputra Group, looked to the future of Nusantara, a new, carbon-neutral, and sustainable city currently under development in Indonesia;
"Global Investment Trends: What has changed in the last 12 months?", sponsored by Treasure Dragon Corp., delved into evolving real estate investment landscapes.

Furthermore, the FIABCI Board of Directors convened to make pivotal decisions concerning the organization's future development, reaffirming FIABCI's commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the global real estate sector.

The next edition of MIPIM is scheduled to take place from March 10 to 14, 2025 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
