I realised my dreams thanks to women and men who believed in my vision of a prospective biomimetic, bio-inspired architecture and who helped me to implement it. The Jacques Rougerie Foundation - Space and Sea Generation, a significant partner of FIABCI, was established in 2009 under the honorary presidency of Prince Albert II of Monaco. The Foundation has a global reach and aims to support young generations in their quest to address the pressing challenges of our time by fostering visionary, biomimetic architectural and artistic projects in the realms of the sea and space, while also addressing climate issues.

The ambitions of the Jacques Rougerie Foundation are threefold:

Awareness: Raise awareness about the challenges faced by the sea and space and inspire collective action, fostering a renewed relationship between humans and their environment;
Transmission: Share knowledge and inspire future generations by promoting innovation in architecture, techniques, design, and all fields that contribute to responsible foresight;
Action: Provide emerging talents with the opportunity to envision and construct the symbiotic environments of tomorrow, emphasising the planet's resources and their enhancement.

During the 41st FIABCI Global Leadership Summit held in Kahosiung, Taiwan last year, FIABCI had the privilege of hosting for the first time Jacques Rougerie Foundation's Architecture & Arts International Awards ceremony. This prestigious event recognised and supported visionary architects and artists worldwide working in the fields of sea and space.
