PRINCIPIOATTIVO won the Coin Museum competition

PRINCIPIOATTIVO Architecture Group Srl and Atelier (s) Alfonso Femia / AF517 won the competition for the redevelopment of the historical complex in Via Principe Umberto, Rome, a real estate operation worth 27.6 million euros.

The project of 16.000 sqm is to be regenerated and modernized in order to make it a valuable element of the Italian cultural heritage.

The project involves the creation of a "coin museum", a cultural center for the enhancement of the artistic resources of the numismatic national heritage and a section of industrial archeology, with the birth of an incubator for the promotion of art professions.

"The selected project combines tradition and innovation through contemporary restoration of the building, preserving the industrial character of the environments".

The proclamation of the winner will be followed by the phase of awarding the final, executive and works management design and the procedures for the execution of the work will be started.
