FIABCI, The International Real Estate Federation and the European Property Federation have agreed to a global partnership, which will further support the real estate industry in Europe and worldwide.
Formally established on April 16, 2019, the global partnership agreement comprises an initial period of three years and the following main objectives:
- Enhance the cooperation between federations to serve real estate professionals in Europe and worldwide
- Draw up an action plan to promote sustainable and green development, in particular to help attain EU real estate energy-efficiency and sustainable targets as well as the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals
- Promote and/or propose EU initiatives supporting the real estate industry
- Evaluate opportunities to jointly organize international events to raise awareness for European policies and education challenges, and to support cross border contacts and business
EPF is an Economic Interest Grouping (EIG) established under Belgian law. With its national association and direct-company membership, EPF has been the European forum and policy vehicle for real estate since 1997. It fosters a European real estate leadership with a hands-on culture and vision for EU real estate policy, through networking, socialisation, and solidarity among its association and company CEO Board members. Among Association, Company, and Academic Members, the federation comprises the membership of the Dutch Association of Real Estate Brokers and Valuers, the Finish Real Estate Federation, and the Syndicat National des Professionnels Immobiliers, among many others.
